Holiday Lunch

Today, the boss took the group out for a holiday dinner. Armed with a $20 off coupon, she took us to Salt Creek Grill in El Segundo (or is it Manhattan Beach?). The place looked nice somewhat like a Lazy Dog Cafe. Their menu was quite small but they did have a full bar (we weren't allowed to order from there :[ )
She even took us out for dessert. It seems as if the Gelato place we went to took a 'lil phrase I like to say. :)

PS. I had the French Dip Sandwich with the garlic parmesean fries which I fully shared with my coworkers.

I had finished practically 2 plates by the time M got her first. :p

My usual 4 plate $11 sushi exodus.

M still finished her 4 plates faster than I did. :/ M wanted to go to Yogurtland. GOTCHA!

HAHAHA. Fine fine, no more pictures.

PS. I ate the usual: a california roll, tempura roll, and 2x dynamite mac roll. All with spicy mayo.

Ash Wednesday

So in this exciting edition of "thesmilefactory" I went to church for lunch with a co-worker who was kind enough to take me along. The mass for Ash Wednesday was somewhat abbreviated as it was only 40 minutes. All the content was there except for the hymns. :( That's too bad because I like singing.

By the time you read this, this box will long have been empty.

Afterwards my co-worker and I stopped by McDonald's for a quick grab and go lunch. Funny enough, the parking lot was insane as everyone came straight from mass. xD

PS. I had a Filet-O-Fish and Small Fries.

BTW, exactly 9 more months until my birthday. You people better start saving up. :D

Also I love it when the scripture readings come from the Book of the Prophet Joel. I mean, it's a short Book in the Bible, so it's nice to see it every now and then.

Manila Wok

Today I had lunch at Manila Wok in Hawthorne? or is it Inglewood? I've been here a few times before and I've always loved that it tasted just like how "mom and dad use to make it." They have a big selection with daily specials (ie. Friday's is Kare Kare). Today though was the first time I was actually pretty dissapointed by the food. :( Oh well. Next time.

PS. I had Chicken Adobo, Igado (Pork, Liver, and Veggies), Rice, and some Lumpia.
