Red Sky Morning and Alternate Driver

This morning, to my delight, I was witnessed to a beautiful red sky morning (working song title and idea, been working on it for a while, don't steal!). I wished at the time I had a better camera to take the photo, but there's something cool about using a grainy phone camera to capture these moments.

Today, work was actually interesting as I went to the LAX terminal and climbed up to the rafters in the terminals above all the people. Let me tell you, it is one scary area. I thought I was either going to fall, or I was gonna get eaten by zombies! FREAKY! * shudder*

Also, you believe they actually trust me driving this thing?! *double shudder*

Holiday Lunch

Today, the boss took the group out for a holiday dinner. Armed with a $20 off coupon, she took us to Salt Creek Grill in El Segundo (or is it Manhattan Beach?). The place looked nice somewhat like a Lazy Dog Cafe. Their menu was quite small but they did have a full bar (we weren't allowed to order from there :[ )
She even took us out for dessert. It seems as if the Gelato place we went to took a 'lil phrase I like to say. :)

PS. I had the French Dip Sandwich with the garlic parmesean fries which I fully shared with my coworkers.

Frag Out!

Let me be honest here for a bit, today I feared for my life. You see here at work, a huge bulk storage chemical tank nearly exploded. And in my area! OH NOES! So I was called onto the front line where I was ready, in full on chemical suit, gloves, and protective face shield. Armed with only a sample bottle, I winced and prayed that upon opening this valve that I wouldn't be hit with highly pressurized, burning hot caustic.

Long story short, I lived to write this thrilling write up, and the above picture was the look on my face after returning back knowing that the tank would not erupt. :o.

As a reward, I was summoned downtown to go to archives and pull some paperwork. :I However, don't fret, I was joined for lunch at T.O.T. with J to celebrate her birthday a few days early. Happy birthday J!

PS. I had the Spicy Tuna Bowl with Side Salad and Miso Soup

Gluten Free Babyee.

Continuing the series that is "Snacks I Eat At Work", this next item comes from Trader Joe's and is a tasty snack that features some: Corn, a variety of nuts, Maple, and Cranberries. At just over 3 dollars a bag, I highly recommend this and give this snack 4 full bellies out of 4.
It's already half eaten.

Secret Stash

This is my food drawer. Currently it's filled with free food from all the union meetings we've been having. Mmmm. Chicken Flatbread Sammie. :D (I just put that in the picture. I'm not storing it there. That would be gross.)

PS. Inside is a diet pepsi, a bag of baked lays, the Chicken Flatbread Sammie, and some puffy cereal from Whole Foods (Thanks M!)

Mission Improbable

J, this is your mission if you choose to accept it:

I've left all the necessary documents on the passenger seat of your Honda Civic Hybrid.

First: I need you to go to City Hall East and navigate the maze parking structure and locate the elevator.

Second: Use the bridge and crossover to main City Hall and take the elevator to the 9th floor.
[not pictured]
Thirdly: Drop off top secret documents to the accounting department and decide on a rendezvous.
Advice: Be discreet and avoid taking any extraneous photos like the ones above.
Succeed and the reward is yours.

BTW: This blog post will self-destruct in 5 seconds.

Lunch Time Adventures With M.

I had finished practically 2 plates by the time M got her first. :p
My usual 4 plate $11 sushi exodus.

HAHAHA. Fine fine, no more pictures.
PS. I ate the usual: a california roll, tempura roll, and 2x dynamite mac roll. All with spicy mayo.

Friday Worktime Fun!

It all started with lunch at Sushi Mac. Yes, again. Not only is it that good, but it's the first Friday of Lent. Where else should I of gone?

Dee-lish.

After getting back from lunch, I still had some time to kill so I visited co-worker's M's cubicle where she introduced me to "chia seeds". Apparently, it's a popular "super food" that is suppose to give you an energy boost and help you in burning excess fat. :? (Like that new smiley? I just made him up. :?. He's skeptical :D)

Apparently you're suppose to use a tablespoon a day and you can mix it in water, put it in your food, or even eat it plain. So she gave me some extras she had and I put it in a glass of water.
Chia Seeds + Water = Jello? :?

I wasn't surprised with what happened when putting the seeds in the water because that is how M had been taking it, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't a little freaked out in putting that stuff in my body. After quite some time which entailed contemplating about digesting this concoction, using the internets to research this "super food", and just simply psyching myself up, I drank and chewed it all down. And to tell you the truth, it's pretty good.

Friday afternoon traffic sucks. :(

After work I hung out with Co-Worker D at his friends going away. Really fun gang of friends who were all quite welcoming and fun. And surprisingly for a group of engineers, there were quite a few girls. xD Go Cal Poly. And since I was given the heads up on this fact and that a few were single, I suited up.
PS. I had the California Roll, the Shrimp Tempura California Roll, and 2 Dynamite Mac Rolls. All with Spicy Mayo.

Conference

8 to 4. :(
Today, I had to attend a work conference. It was an all day event full of intelligent speakers, (a free) lunch, and well, I was bored to death.

You guys are beautiful!
So since this is "the smile factory" I put on my best face and give my beautiful readers a smile. :). (I think I was just happy that I got to leave a little early.) :D

PS. Lunch was only free for me because I was volunteer. :/ It was a Boston Market with a half rotisserie chicken, side salad, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, and a cornbread. And yes C, the mashed potatoes were the bomb.
