This morning, to my delight, I was witnessed to a beautiful red sky morning (working song title and idea, been working on it for a while, don't steal!). I wished at the time I had a better camera to take the photo, but there's something cool about using a grainy phone camera to capture these moments.

Today, work was actually interesting as I went to the LAX terminal and climbed up to the rafters in the terminals above all the people. Let me tell you, it is one scary area. I thought I was either going to fall, or I was gonna get eaten by zombies! FREAKY! * shudder*

Also, you believe they actually trust me driving this thing?! *double shudder*

Holiday Lunch

Today, the boss took the group out for a holiday dinner. Armed with a $20 off coupon, she took us to Salt Creek Grill in El Segundo (or is it Manhattan Beach?). The place looked nice somewhat like a Lazy Dog Cafe. Their menu was quite small but they did have a full bar (we weren't allowed to order from there :[ )
She even took us out for dessert. It seems as if the Gelato place we went to took a 'lil phrase I like to say. :)

PS. I had the French Dip Sandwich with the garlic parmesean fries which I fully shared with my coworkers.

Five Guys

Today, mom and I ate at one of President Obama's favorite burger joints, Five Guys. It was pretty good, I don't know if I'd eat it over In-N-Out but I'd recommend it. But FYI, I didn't know the regular burger was a double stack. I'm a wimp so I like the single patty. (I'm trying to cutback!)

PS. I had the Cheeseburger and Cajun Fries. (Gotta love the free peanuts too!)

Drawing and The Grinch!

Today, I woke up in Lakewood where I slept over at M and J's new house. M made breakfast for everyone and I drew a drawing of a Black Scoter. What is that you ask?

Why this. He/She appears to have no bottom because in the picture I was looking at he was flying out of the water, which is what I tried to depict but failed. I'm particularly proud of this drawing as it actually resembles what I was drawing, also because I didn't have an eraser so any mistakes I made are left on that page. :D

Later that day, J, J, M, T, mom, and I all went down to Hollywood and watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas featuring the lawyer from Night Court (JL)who played Old Max. The show was actually pretty entertaining albiet short. It reminded me alot of Aladdin from Disney's California's Adventure. The Grinch was fantastic and the crowd interaction was fun.

Being the hungry bunch that we were, we all headed back out to Eagle Rock where I finished my day at Oinksters.

PS. I had a cheeseburger and belgium fries. YUM.

Let me be honest here for a bit, today I feared for my life. You see here at work, a huge bulk storage chemical tank nearly exploded. And in my area! OH NOES! So I was called onto the front line where I was ready, in full on chemical suit, gloves, and protective face shield. Armed with only a sample bottle, I winced and prayed that upon opening this valve that I wouldn't be hit with highly pressurized, burning hot caustic.

Long story short, I lived to write this thrilling write up, and the above picture was the look on my face after returning back knowing that the tank would not erupt. :o.

As a reward, I was summoned downtown to go to archives and pull some paperwork. :I However, don't fret, I was joined for lunch at T.O.T. with J to celebrate her birthday a few days early. Happy birthday J!

Today is my birthday! YAY! Being an annual passholder, I was able to use my Birthday as a means to procure seventy two disney dollars! HORRAY (no applicable on food purchases.... booo.)

Now that I have these $72 dollars, I will now attempt to renew my pass, along with a charity day for whatever the cost is minus those 2 ticket days. Genius huh. :D

3 Beds, One Day

R, r, and myself today (Sunday) put together 3 beds. It was a lot of fun actually except for the stupid directions which made absolutely no sense at all! R was the ninja, r was the assistant, and I was the power tool guru. Above is a photo of 2 beds to remember this event. (I even dressed up)

Other than that, I took care of a few errands this weekend as I finally got the bowtie I was looking for at the Buffalo Exchange on 2nd Street in LB. The staff there and at the Costa Mesa store were extremely helpful (and cute :D) in assisting me in my bowtie quest. Definitely a store I need to put in my shopping rotation.

At night, M and I took 2 clubs and just went to the driving range. We paid 20 bucks total for a few balls and got a few things off our chests and a few balls in the target bucket. I'm horrible at golf. Oh well, can't be good at everything.

This weekend, (which actually started on Wednesday) started with me taking Ally out for a 4 and a half hour drive on her birthday. YAY! As soon as we got home, I went to K-Mart and bought an antenna for our "digital ready" tv, which allowed both my mom and me to watch one whole channel. Yip-'f'n-pee! At least it was NBC and I was able to watch some of The Office on Thursday.

Also on Thursday was the Bulls season opener vs the Spurs, and being the crazy idiot I am, I had to watch the game. So I finally got to go where I had always wanted to go as a child. You see, in Atwater there isn't much to do besides: tv, video games, drink, and make babies, all the kids had was the Bellevue Bowl. And back in the corner of the bowling alley, there was this room. With only one entrance and exit, I had always wondered what it was like inside. And well, now that I'm over 21 and needed a spot to watch the game, I headed on in. It was what I had always imagined, a grungy dive bar with a bartender who was coughing up a lung (poor girl). No complaints here tho, happy hour had $1 draught beers and $1.50 for bar food. OOhhh... also keep this between us, but I saw an old teacher from my childhood.... listening to her stories... she's a slut.... shhhhh.
Halloween wasn't much different for me than the rest of the week. My mom told me to sit outside and pass candy to the kids, knowing that I'd be bored out of my mind I pulled out my guitar and serenaded every damn trick or treater until their EARS BLED!! Mwahahahah.. jk jk jk. Sorry, I played the tunes and it really passed by the time.
Too much driving for me this weekend and knowing that tomorrow (now today) I'd have to go to work was just too much for me. So to my delight, this was at my home. My very own Mr. Manager T-Shirt. AWESOME!

Tonight my family and friends were Bound For Glory. The event was actually quite good for TNA. The crowd was fully into Ultimate X which once again stole the show. Overall, it was pretty fun except for that one douche sitting in our section who wouldn't get off his high horse. It's people like that, that make wrestling fans look dumb and uncivilized. BTW, we sat next to Tara and Awesome Kong's family. :p Oh ya, those pyros are hella loud! One more thing, if any of the talent was drinking in the Koll Room, I'm cashing their deposit!... I'm looking at you Beautiful People. xD.

Pomodoro and Pinkberry

Today, a few friends came out to celebrate A's birthday at Pasta Pomodoro. It was a pretty nice and relaxed dinner with J and I trying to get the rest of the group to understand how cool a supermarket could be (That's right, I'm talking about Publix).

After dinner, I met up with C and E for a lil' yogurt. E I hadn't seen in probably a year so it was more than overdue for us to catch up. All in all, it was a busy night. Oh ya, I still went home and p90x'ed it.

PS. At Pomodoro I had the half order lasagna, and at Pinkberry I had the original yogurt with white chocolate and capt'n crunch.

The View From Our Hotel at the Walt Disney World Swan.

Today was a fun day. It started off with a free continental breakfast at the Omni which had a delicious everything: omelet, sausage, croissants (YUM!), and they have the coolest tiny Tobasco Sauce Bottles.

I tried everything that looked and sounded good. We even met a few Brits who sat next to us who were supporters of Liverpool... we actually met many of these people during our trip. (It makes me wonder if I met a footballer?)

Anyways after eating J and I put on our swimsuits and headed out towards the pool. First we tried the lazy river. And boy was it lazy. It was so fun just lying on an innertube and just letting the current take me away. Idiot me, doing it the hardway to no avail, tried jumping through the hole in the innertube and getting my legs up and over it. I almost made it a few times, but all in all I kept tipping over. HAHA. I even scared like a 4 yr. old kid who was afraid of getting in the water.

Building up a little courage, J and I then travelled towards the other pools swimming in each one, but while in doing so made a detour at the water slide. "Never again", we said. It was way too fast for old folks like us. Hahaha.. I think we're too heavy. Because both of us went careening down the pipe while these lil 50 lb. kids were falling out of the slide like raindrops as we crashed through the water like ice in an Alaskan winter. Still it was really fun.

Afterwards, we packed up and checked out of the beautiful Omni Hotel and Resort and made our way towards.... the doctor's office? Ya, M had a pretty bad ear thing so we got it checked and the doctor who was built like the Juggernaut perscribed M the things he needed to get better. This actually turned out to be a Godsend because if it wasn't for that stop, we would of never went to Publix!

Publix is like the coolest grocery store ever and I hope that one day one will open up in California. It's so clean, cheap, and their products are actually really good. Publix BBQ Chips... yum!

From there we checked into the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel where the front desk guy didn't understand out "complimentary requests" and failed to hook it up in anyway shape or form. :(

Dinner today took place at Bahama Breeze and we ordered a Chicken Dish and Paella. It wasn't bad.

From there we headed to Downtown Orlando because well, we wanted to party like the Floridians... and boy did we party.

Bouncin back and forth from Independent Bar and Eye Spy Bar. Both bars had unique feels but both played pretty cool music. Cheap drinks, no cover til 2, and bars that don't close until 4. That's a recipe for awesome. And ya, J made sure no texts came out of my phone that night. Yay for J.

Ever party in Downtown Vegas? Me neither, until now. It's completely different from the strip, but I still had a good time, and I even made new friends.

There was really only one place on Fremont for me to go dancing, so I headed on down to the Golden Nugget and up to their 2nd floor hotspot Gold Diggers.

I went solo on this adventure as the others were a mixture of tired and sick. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was that, how do I say this, the place had a nice mixture of people. All kinds of people were there, for better or for worse, but hey at least they play good music.

So, I reach for my wallet and put down the $5 cover and waltz straight onto the dance floor. I kinda walk around at first as I usually do and feel out the crowd to see what the vibe is and look for friendly faces. Finally I pick my spot in what I think to be a pretty huge group that I thought was celebrating someone's 40th birthday. The group was really fun and included tons of people: young, old, couples, (possible lesbians), there even was a really cute 20 or 30 something blonde who was flirting with me but seriously, I think she was with her husband, or someone who kept close eyes on her, so I kept my distance. :D After a while, some of the group ended up leaving the club and I found out that the people I had been dancing with were actually really just a handful of mini groups that joined together to form one large group. How fun!

The rest of the night I partied it up with J and A, a really fun couple from Minnesota. They both are really fun outgoing people and I'm glad we got to hangout even after dancing. But to me, what was really awesome is that... they both could dance! We danced the cha cha, we krunked it up, and we even booty popped a bit too. We had so much fun we didn't leave until the club kicked us out at 4:30... am!

But just because we had so much fun didn't mean that the night didn't have it's drama. Here's a short list of the crazy things that happened:

1) Some big guy passed out in front of Glitter Gulch and hit his head on the ground as he proceeded to throw up all over himself.
2) Some girl at Gold Diggers got so messed up she passed out, hit herself on something in the bathroom and had to be stretchered out by the paramedics.
3) Ladies of the night that frequent the club right before closing are hideous, and obvious ladies of the night. (High heels, muffin top, no undergarments, tiny purse)
4) I had to make 2 saves (regarding these ladies of the night with the people I was hanging out with).
5) Hot Dogs at 5 am are awesome. Thanks Fremont Hotel.

Today we got a new patio set for our balcony. It's ummm, quite large given the space we have there, but hey... at least I can put my laundry basket on that table.

J and I picked up the patio set after she got back from the gym. We grabbed it from the local... place... and we lugged it upstairs avoiding obstacles along the way. She was quite proud of the whole thing.

This song has nothing to do with today but I do like breaking occassionally into song. And when I say occassionally, I mean often. And when I say often, I mean all the time.

Anywho, today was Vegas day! And boy did it start early. 5:06 am to be exact. I looked at the clock. Thanks M for the extra 6 minutes of sleep.

I can't say too much but, it was a fun trip full of... breakfast, the office, the family feud, the sound that 2 cars make when they hit each other, 700, making our own beats, two thumbs up, and krispy kremes.... and that was just the car trip there.

The rest of Vegas was a blur full of what possibly were some hilarious times.

Oh well.

Surprisingly as a child, I was never into Star Trek. Even though, after watching the movie previews for this film, I had to watch it. N accompanied me for some Japanese food and some intense space action. Chocked full of action, comedy, and even an entertaining story, Star Trek provided 2 hours of awesome.

BTW: Doesn't that one girl look like Jada Pinkett Smith?

Today, J invited me out to the UCI pub after to watch Natusol and celebrate her sister J's, 21st birthday! Congratulations. We tried out a few great beers at the joint where we also ran into old friends.

Luckily enough, I was able to head over in time to see this year's Skit Choir Variety Show where N rocked out in her live.

Today I had dinner with N. Having a hankerin' for some french fries, we headed out to Red Robin, the home of the bottomless fries.

After proving that I have no clue most of the time where I'm driving, I learned that in Indian weddings 7 is an important number. I'll be sure to watch for things that involve the number 7 in S and V's wedding.

9/80 Fridays with the people I love are some of the best days a guy could ask for. It all started around 11 when we headed out to Alhambra to check out Gallery Nucleus' Street Fighter art tribute titled "Jab, Strong, Fierce".

Dhalsim and Fei Long mix it up.

Overall, the pieces were pretty cool to look at I was thoroughly impressed, but to tell you the truth, some pieces sucked. Hahaha. I just wish I was there opening night.

After the show, we all were pretty hungry. So after talking it out, and being the, "hell ya, let's do it" group that we are, we headed out to El Tepeyac in East LA.

I know, I know, those Horchata's are huge! :D

There was a short line to get in, but once inside, there was only one thing to get. The Manuel Especial. A burrito at over 5 lbs, it is the burrito to end all burritos. BTW, if you can, avoid getting guacamole there. It's expensive.

After the excruciating car ride home, I went out with R to watch R's T-Ball practice. R likes to run, hit and field with his eyes closed. He thinks it's funny. Silly kid.

Whallop.

To end our day, R, M, J, and myself endured a 2.5 hour line for the Kogi Truck. During the time, we met up with R, M, and J's old buddies.

Daytime.

Nightfall.
Tacos.

In the end, I couldn't get the Burrito and Sliders that I wanted so I ended up getting 4 tacos of various fillings. And they were great... just not 2.5 hours waiting in line great.

PS. We had the Manuel Especial with Carne Asada, Chips, Guacamole, and Horchatas. At the Kogi Truck, I had 4 tacos: 2 spicy pork, a spare rib, and a chicken.

Today, I drove to work, so instead of bearing with the afternoon traffic, I headed over to visit the cousins in Carson. :D

To celebrate my maybe raise, I bought everyone dinner at Alnoor, where the guy gave me the "Wednesday Day Discount". It was $5 off. Yay.

The houses in Midway City were really cheap, but they were not what I was looking for.

All this house hunting made me hungry, so I got what I was craving the past 2 weeks.

Mmmm... All this for $4.11.

PS. It was the 2pc chicken meal with a biscuit (I chose breast and thigh), and I ordered a side of cajun fries. :D
